Old Market Firehouse

The 11th and Jackson fire station opened on May 28, 1904. Three stories high with a pitched roof, it was the finest looking station Omaha had ever seen. Ironically, the third story of the station caught fire on April 9, 1917, but the rest survived and continued to prosper until closing in 1944. Fifty-two years later, Upstream reopened the station’s doors as a brew pub, paying tribute to the historical building with our delicious Firehouse Red Lager.
