Sirius Spiced Wheat 5.7%ABV 15 IBU's

Our latest summer wheat beer is named for the Sirius, the dog star, whose approach to the Sun during this time of year was credited for the hot, 'dog days' of summer. This beer is the perfect accompaniment to these hot days. Served with a lemon slice, Sirius is light and refreshing with a slight spiciness from lemon and orange peel, coriander, and lemongrass. You'll find no better choice for quenching your summer thirst than Upstream's Sirius Spiced Wheat.

Lager

Old Market

Gam Gam, Munich Helles

5.5% ABV 18 IBU's

The raw materials for Upstreams Munich Helles could not be simpler, yet the brewing process could not be more demanding. Because Helles is a gentle beer, it must be brewed with a gentle, but sure, touch. Indifferent raw materials, shortcuts or sloppy technique can readily be tasted in the finished beer. When brewed to perfection, Upstreams Munich Helles rewards the drinker with the most sublime balance of subtle, rich, elegant maltiness and lingering, noble hoppiness.

Wolfgang, North German Pilsner

5.3% ABV 30 IBU's

Pilsner is arguably the most successful beer style in the world. Nine out of ten beers drunk in the world today are made according to the Pilsner style. Pilsner is a very blond, brilliantly clear, moderately effervescent lager, modeled largely after a beer style invented in 1842 in the Czech city of Pilsen by Josef Groll who later took his beer to Germany. Pilsner is often strongly hopped. North German Pilsners emerged in the north of Germany from a small town named Jever. Upstreams flavorful North German style Pilsner starts off with a deep golden color, it is light to medium in malt body and flavor with an assertive kiss of hop's to give this fantastic beer its elegant signature. Dark

Old Market

Black Ice Cascadian Dark Ale

6% ABV 50IBU's

This commanding brew combines prominent Northwest hops with roasted malts to create a mysterious flavor sensation. Black Ice aromas come from Summit, Cascade, Liberty, and Amarillo hops that glide over a gentle undercurrent of velvety malt complexities. This beer has subtle dark chocolate and toffee undertones, born from a blend of chocolate, Vienna, and crystal malts.

Legacy

Dark Helmet Swarzbier

5.7% ABV 21 IBU's

When one see a beer with a darker complexion these days, more often than not it's a Porter or Stout. However looks can be deceiving. There exists a style older than both and generally less well known; the Schwarzbier, which literally translated is "Black Beer." Unlike its dark cousins which both hail from Britain and are highly hopped ales, Schwarzbier comes from Germany, is lightly hopped and is fermented using a bottom fermenting lager yeast. Upstream Brewing Company's Black Lager is brewed in the tradition of the latter. A medium bodied beer brewed using several different roasts of malt to give the end product a smooth body and a depth of malt character that has to be tasted to be believed. Drink Up!
